June 24-26, 2008

8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Check in begins at 7:30.

Daily Activities:

Morning Programs begin at 8:05:

3. “Under the Big Top” Skits



Group Guides

We invite all Packs in the Pioneer Trails Area

as well as any other individual Cub Scouts to our

3-Day Cub Scout Day Camp.

Group Guides must accompany boys from each Pack.

Group Guides for Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Scouts must have a 1:5 ratio of adults to boys.

Each Tiger Cub must be accompanied by an individual Parent or Leader each day.

Children 3 years and up (potty trained) can be registered in the Mini Camp for the day, as they are NOT allowed to accompany the Cub Scouts. There will be a $10 per day charge, payable each day.

DAILY each boy must bring:

Their own Lunch and Drinks

Day Camp Shirt

Hat These are INCLUDED for

Water Bottle boys who pre-register

Rain Gear

Sunscreen

Sturdy Shoes – NO OPEN-TOED SHOES

Please-please label everything with permanent marker!

Group Guide Tip: Bring a wagon

and a cooler for storing Lunches, a water cooler, a black Sharpie marker and a big bag for stowing daily projects. Bring a big garbage bag to carry out trash daily.

(A gallon Ziploc bag for each boy is very handy.)
Camp Volunteers

The 4th Annual

Pioneer Trails Cub Scout Day Camp

can only be successful with your help.

We anticipate 350 boys!

Group Guides are expected to assist the

Activity Leader in each rotation so that the

boys will have a great time.

Mandatory Group Guide Training will be held June 12 – Parker and June 19 – Castle Rock. You may pick up supplies at that time for boys who have Pre-Registered.

If you are a Registered Scouter we would like to have a copy of your membership card and Youth Protection Training card, please bring it to Roundtable.

We need to have a 1:40 ratio of Adults to Boys who are CPR/First Aid Trained. If you are CPR Trained please bring a copy of your CPR Card to Roundtable so we can make a copy of it.

Ÿ Junior Boy and Girl Assistants – 14 and older

Ÿ Assistant Mini Camp Director

Ÿ Help to set-up on Monday, June 23rd

Ÿ Help to take-down on Thursday, June 26th

Ÿ Scout Troop volunteers are welcome

Set-up and Take-down are great activities for Community Service.

PRE-REGISTERED

This is a wonderful opportunity for your Cub Scout to have a VERY SPECIAL summertime Cub Scouting Experience.

Parents should consider volunteering as Group Guides or Staff Members.

If your Cub Scout has not yet signed up please contact your Cub Master or Committee Chair and get your Cub Scouts Signed up NOW.

After May 19 the fee is $45.00

All Attendees must have a signed Medical Form.

(Cub Scouts who are NOT Pre-Registered may not receive a T-shirt, Hat, and Water Bottle.)

Individual Cub Scouts not participating as a part of a Pack or Den Group may be accompanied by a Parent Guide.

(Minimum 1:5 Ratio still applies)

If your Pack would like to help out with supplies please call the Camp Director.
Directions to Cub Scout Day Camp

Held at Polson’s Ranch:

1. Take US-85 (Santa Fe) North or South

to Sedalia.

2. Turn South on CO-67 into the town of Sedalia.

3. Cross the Railroad Tracks.

4. After you pass the Post Office, you will see the Camp Signs and the Ranch on your right.

WEBELOS Cross over Monday 2/18, 7:00 pm at the Douglas County Library

Parents and Scouts,
The next Pack meeting will be our Webelos Crossover. This is where our second year Webelos will leave Pack 261 and become Boy Scouts and move on to Troop 261. JC Bear will be there to help our older scouts move on to their next phase of scouting. We will also be losing Rochelle and Steve Dalke, Cindy and Rob Hazlehurst and Mark Richards to the Troop. Lets all wish the well at their final Cub Scout meeting.
The meeting will be held at the Phillip S. Miller Library on Wilcox this coming Monday, February 18th at 7:00 PM. The leaders will be there at 6:00 to set up. Everyone please use the South door to the library and not the main entrance.
Tigers JC Bear will have a special surprise for you too so please make sure you come to this very special event.
